In 2012, I became qualified as an accredited Yoga Sports Coach having studied with Yoga Sports Science (YSS). This increased my knowledge and skill giving me a better understanding of the biomechanics of the body and has enabled me to support a great
I began my journey and love affair with yoga in South India over 17 years ago, and became a teacher of yoga in 2001. I trained at The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram, Kerala in South India. Following my training I was invited to remain at the Ashram as a volunteer, teaching and helping to run the day-
This opened me up to a life of simplicity and spirituality and sowed the seeds for the direction that I have continued to pursue and share. Falling in love with the country and the people, I continued to explore and study with the different schools of yoga, travelling from the very southern tip of India to the Himalayas.

“ My extensive understanding and experience of the different tendencies and schools within yoga enables me, as a teacher, to guide each student with ease and safety through different practices depending on the 'specific needs' of the individual at the time. My extensive understanding and experience of the different tendencies and schools within yoga enables me, as a teacher, to guide each student with ease and safety through different practices depending on the specific needs of the individual. Students gain a much better understanding of their body and better awareness of how they are moving both on and off the mat. In return the dedicated student with consistent and regular practice, will be rewarded with greater mobility throughout the whole of their body, building strength, flexibility and gaining a sense of freedom throughout whilst improving overall health and well-
I am able to accommodate all levels of abilities and I encourage and nurture the individual to gain confidence not only in their yoga practices but also in themselves. My focus is to teach each student to cultivate awareness of the 'whole of the body' during their Yoga practice. My unique style of teaching is heavily based on Iyengar’s discipline that focuses on proper alignment with the encouragement of using prop’s to enable all levels of students to practice with much more ease. Classes can be challenging but they are taught in a way that allows each student to work at their own level but still gain maximum benefits from the practice.
